About Steve

At the tender age of sixteen Steve and Jay played in a band together at school called “Masquerade” covering everything from the Who to the Kinks to U2 tunes so a long history makes for plenty of embarrassing stories, banter and most importantly a musical connection that only time together can create.

Steve has a unique playing style, taking often very simple bass lines and delivering them in such a way that songs are carried along smoothly and then lift with each anthemic chorus and yet, in sharp contrast, capable of whispering subtle warmth in a song.

This light and shade is a crucial element to Jay’s writing style and therefore a perfect match.
